I worked in management for lululemon athletica for about 7 years, and while the majority of my work was on running a business, I was really fortunate to be able to lean in to my skills and create various collateral that supported in-store and company-wide initiatives. Below are a few examples of projects I worked on for various stores in Columbus, NYC, and DC.

Men’s 5 Year Basic Tee
Someone randomly wearing my shirt to yoga class! I made her take photo with me. ;)
A company-initiative in 2018 was to start a conversation between product and local communities, so lululemon highlighted several cities/stores across the country and allowed them to source a design that captured the vibes of their area. I had only been in DC for about a year when the 14th street store approached me with this job. I researched. I walked the city. I spoke to locals and non-locals alike. I did my best to tap into the soul of the District. What I came up with represents the grit and the grace of a city that is constantly in flux but always has heart.

Lineup
Every year since it’s opening, the lululemon Smith Street store in Brooklyn, NY partnered with a local studio, Bend & Bloom Yoga, to bring a summer’s worth of classes to beautiful Prospect Park. For this 7pm class, I created a logo to capture the ever-shifting but always-magical quality of the sky between sunset and twilight. About 150+ yogis rolled out their mats each week.
Underground Yoga
This cool collaboration sought to bring awareness and raise funds for the Lowline, a project that aimed to create a thriving and sustainable green-space in the underground site of the former Williamsburg Bridge Trolley Terminal. lululemon hosted a DJ’d yoga class, attended by nearly 200 people, in the Lowline Lab, the location that tested the technology the official space could offer. I invoked elements of this experience, letting the hexagonal shapes (inspired by the solar technology of the ceilings) offer glimpses of this secret New York City garden.

Passbook
As a way to celebrate the many ways we work out, the stores in the Columbus region partnered with local studios to create a passport of sweat. Guests picked these cards up and worked out in as many places they could before the official end-date, supported their health and local businesses in the process.
window decal / holiday 2015
This simple Buddhist meditation graced the window of the Smith Street, Brooklyn store in response to lululemon’s Holiday 2015 theme, #fuelhappiness, where the focus was on encouraging random acts of kindness throughout the holiday season (and hopefully beyond).
Brooklyn Community + Connection Night
This invite was sent to all instructors, trainers, and fitness/wellness leaders that kept our Brooklyn community strong. Bringing the focus to the ‘hood they support, I kept the design simple with just an Illustrator sketch of the iconic Brooklyn Bridge.
